Meals and snacks will be provided as an integral part of each day. They provide the opportunity for learning, acquainting the child with a wide variety of food and self-help skills. For your reference each classroom posts weekly menus.

Depending on their time of attendance, children will be expected to participate in mealtime. If your child has food allergies or a special diet, please be sure this information is included with the registration forms at the time of enrollment. A physician’s note will be required for documentation. Serving times for meals are as follows:

Breakfast: 8:30 a.m.
Lunch: 11:30 a.m.
Snack: 3:00 p.m.

*A wash-up period will precede each meal. Food is not to be brought from home to PUKA. Special arrangements for birthday parties can be made with your child’s teacher. For parents of infants, PUKA provides an iron-fortified formula, cereal, and jarred infant food. Parents and primary care givers will develop an eating plan to meet the needs of each child. If your infant requires a special formula or diet, this information must be included in the enrollment material and properly reviewed and discussed with appropriate PUKA staff member.
